這一法庭的設立起初是為了懲戒國王的僕人對諮議會成員的違法行為。亨利八世時期的一項制訂法規定，所有在王宮以內或國王住宅地之內的叛逆罪、謀殺、過失殺人和流血傷害都須接受該庭審理。1828年被撤銷。又稱為「Court of the Lord Steward of the King's Household」和「Court of the Steward of the Queen's Household」。
